This trip is NOT specific to COUPLES: prices will be rated as Double Occupancy ( For 2 people not limited to a couple i.e. friends, siblings, co-workers, etc.) or as Single, (just that, you want a single ROOM) Singles will carry a higher price.

ARRIVAL IN HAVANA
Arrival to Havana International Airport, José Martí. Transfer with English speaking guide to the hotel. Welcome reception followed by dinner in a local restaurant featuring an authentic Cuban cuisine.
DAY 01
HAVANA
An Educational exchange with members of the Cuban Federation of Amateur Baseball at the Latin American Baseball Stadium. An educational exchange with historians of Cuban Colonial Architecture of the Office of the Historian of Old Havana to discuss the redevelopment of Old Havana. Travel to the seaside village of Cojimar to meet with locals and have a guided tour of Hemingway’s country estate, “Finca La Vigia” Museum. Return to Havana.
DAY 02
HAVANA
Guided walking tour of historic Havana Vieja (Old Havana), a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring highlights, such as, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza Armas, Catedral de San Cristobal,… Visit to the Museo de Musica, a museum that offers a display of various typical Cuban instruments. Educational exchange with staff at Egrem Recording Studio. After lunch, meet with artists at their studios. In the afternoon, participants will learn about Havana’s system of Fortresses dating to colonial times as you view the Castillo del la Punta, the El Morro, and San Carolos de la Cabana y la Fuerza.
DAY 03
HAVANA/PINAR DEL RIO
Depart to Pinar del Rio, the western province of Cuba, where the best tobacco is harvested. You will stop at Las Terrazas, where you will have a guided tour of the eco and social community project, and the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve where six million trees were planted.
DAY 04
PINAR DEL RIO, LAS TERRAZAS/ VARADERO/MATANZAS
Depart to Varadero, Matanzas, a historical background of Varadero, led by a Cuban expert in the 1900’s and the unique history of the Mansion Xanadu, formerly known as DuPont. In the town of Matanza’s we will learn about the Neo Classical “Teatro Sauto”, Al Capone’s house, Varadero Art Gallery, and Josone Park.
DAY 05
MATANZAS - BAY OF PIGS / ZAPATA PENINSULA (B/L)
Educational exchange with scientists at a crocodile breeding farm on the Peninsula de Zapata. Depart to the Museum of the Bay of Pigs for a meeting with a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and a first hand perspective of the 1961 invasion. After lunch, gather with members of the Cultural groups CORIMACAO.
DAY 06
CIENFUEGOS - TRINIDAD
Begin journey to Cienfuegos, whose historic centre is a UNESCO site with strong French influence, providing unique architecture. You will visit the Palacio de Valle Restaurant, designed in 1912, with an eclectic style incorporating Moorish, Venetian Gothic and Beaux Arts elements. Have an educational exchange with a local expert at Museo Provincial to discuss life under colonial rule. Begin journey to Trinidad.
DAY 07
TRINIDAD
Trinidad City Tour. UNESCO has declared this center and the nearby Valley of the Sugar Mills Patrimony of Mankind. You will visit a sugar mill where a local spokesperson will explain the importance sugar has had in the history and economy of Cuba. Educational exchange with an architectural historian at The Museo Municipal in Trinidad. Walking tour of Trinidad, where time has stood still in the cobblestone streets and pastel colored houses built in the Colonial times.
DAY 08
TRINIDAD - CAMAGUEY - HOLGUIN
Depart to Holguin. Holguin City Tour, including: La Periquera (National Monument) House of Calixto Garcia (National Monument). Stop for lunch in Camaguey. After lunch, visit Familia Cuayo Fábrica de Organos, a studio that still produces handmade órganos pneumáticos (air-compression organs) with hand-cut music sheets. Visit Mirador de Mayabe.
DAY 09
HOLGUIN
Depart to Holguin International Airport.
